OUR ALUMNI
The Department of Mass Communication is building its Alumni Database where ex-students in the past ten years can meaningfully contribute to the growth and development of the Department.
To achieve this feat, the alumni of the Department organised the 12th year anniversary and awards night on the 20th of March, 2020. The Alumni committee was chaired by Efosa Maxwell Aimiuwu.
The event showcased a proposed Multimedia Center that will contain a conference hall facility, television and radio production center, advertising studio and center for public relations, a print center, photography center, digital hub, storeroom, two cinemas and an eatery.
The awardees by the alumni during the anniversary dinner include Prof. Augustin Ufua Enahoro, Prof. John Illah, Prof. Victor Dugga, Terverr Terencez Tyav, Noel Dilli, Paul Ugbede, Amoto Okomanyi, and Joseph Lengmang.

THE HEAD OF DEPARTMENT
The Head of Department, Dr. Godfrey N. Danaan, is the fifth Head of the Department of Mass Communication. He is an experienced lecturer with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry.
Before coming onboard into the Department, he was a senior correspondent with The Nigeria Standard newspaper and skilled in breaking news, journalism, media relations, and newspaper management.
He has to his credit a Master’s degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu State and he has a Ph.D. from the University of Salford, United Kingdom.
He lectures Feature Writing, Advanced Research Methods, Conflict Reporting among others.
His predecessors as Head of Department are:
